Cyber Monday Newsgroups
November 30th, 2009

For the individual who still has not bought gifts and has no time to go to many stores, the ideal is to find items online and have them shipped to them. Welcome to Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday is the day when the maximum online sales take place, after Black Friday. Starting since the early days of the internet, Cyber Monday has encompassed all online channels, including newsgroups.

Black Friday is also a great shopping day but it is majorly marked by huge lines in the retail stores in the dead of the night itself, plus chaos and maddening crowds too. So websites have come out with many deals, discounts and coupons to mark this day.

The first workday following the Thanksgiving day holiday has been dubbed “Cyber Monday” for a few years now with great success. Online giants like Apple.com, Amazon.Com and booksellers Barnes and Noble.Com participate along with other brick and mortar type shops like Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy with pretty good prices for those items on almost any holiday list.

Search through newsgroups, and you’ll find many discussions going on as to who has the best price for what and where. Dedicated online forums also provide a good source for a current directory of the hot Cyber Monday online stores.

Finally, this year is the first that really sees the resources that online social networks are providing shoppers this season as twitter and Facebook in particular light up with Cyber Monday Madness.
